StarHub to let prepaid customers keep old number when upgrading
SINGAPORE — Starting next month, StarHub’s prepaid mobile customers can enjoy full mobile number portability when they upgrade to the company's postpaid plans, retaining the number they’ve stuck to over the years.
SINGAPORE — Starting July 1 2013, StarHub’s prepaid mobile customers can enjoy full mobile number portability when they upgrade to the company's postpaid plans, retaining the number they’ve stuck to over the years.
In a statement released by the company today, StarHub said it is inviting customers to register their interest at www.starhub.com/prepaidporting from today (June 27). SingTel has allowed its prepaid mobile subscribers to port their number to a postpaid plan since July 2011.
Registered customers who subsequently have their prepaid number upgraded to a StarHub Mobile postpaid plan before June 30 2013 can also enjoy free delivery of their new handset.
As an added benefit, StarHub is rewarding long-tenure customers with discount vouchers based on the number of years they have been their prepaid customer.
Existing StarHub Mobile prepaid customers who upgrade to a StarHub Mobile postpaid plan can get these discount vouchers worth up to S$100, which can be used to offset the cost of the new handset.
More information on voucher entitlement, visit www.starhub.com/prepaidporting.
