Make space for the hijab based on tolerance

A Muslim woman would face a dilemma if, on the one hand, she wears the hijab as sign of her religious conviction, but on the other hand, she wants to care for the sick as a nurse.

A Muslim woman would face a dilemma if, on the one hand, she wears the hijab as sign of her religious conviction, but on the other hand, she wants to care for the sick as a nurse.

These are not mutually exclusive objectives. A win-win solution can be achieved by allowing Muslim nurses to wear the hijab at work.

Singapore is a multi-religious society, and there should be space for people of diverse religious backgrounds to come together and interact based on tolerance.
