Measured reopening of bank branches, including POSB, for health reasons: DBS

We refer to the letter "Open counter services at POSB, DBS banks one day a week for elders and customers-in-need" (July 9), and would like to thank Mr Paul Wee Kian Nghee for his feedback.
We wish to assure Mr Wee that we remain mindful of the needs of our senior customers — that is why most of our branches in mature estates have remained open throughout the circuit breaker period.
At the same time, we have seen more people, including seniors, take to our online platforms for their banking needs.
We have been progressively reopening our branches in a measured manner, to safeguard the health and well-being of our customers and employees at the same time.
Currently, customers can visit 34 DBS/POSB branches and 22 assisted digital lobbies with video tellers islandwide. We are also looking into more ways to create and improve our touchpoints with customers.
