S'porean couple building homes in war-torn Ukraine

“Even after the war ends, people (in Ukraine) will still need to pick up their lives...these houses are permanent and can last them till then," says 40-year-old Singaporean architect Rudy Taslim.
Together with his wife Ms Lam Bao Yan, the couple have built more than 500 insulated and shock-resistant emergency homes for Ukranians displaced by the war.

“Instead of focusing on how to make him able to walk and speak, (we thought) how else can we help to make him a better him, despite his disability.
