Genting Highlands landslide: Death toll rises to 25 as body of young girl is found

BATANG KALI — Search and rescue personnel have found the body of a child at the Father's Organic Farm in Jalan Genting-Batang Kali.

This brings to 25 the number of those confirmed killed in the landslide that occurred on Friday (Dec 16).

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Hafisham Mohd Noor said the remains were that of a young girl.

"More details will be released later," he said.

Efforts are still ongoing to locate eight more victims who have been reported missing. NEW STRAITS TIMES
