Malaysia GE2022: Incumbent PM Ismail Sabri retains Bera parliament seat with bigger majority

BERA — Caretaker Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob retained the Bera parliament seat for a fifth-term after securing 31,762 votes in the 15th General Election.

BERA — Caretaker Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob retained the Bera parliament seat for a fifth-term after securing 31,762 votes in the 15th General Election.

Mr Ismail Sabri beat Pakatan Harapan's Abas Awang and Perikatan Nasional's Aswami Harun with a 16,695 majority.

Abas received 15,067 votes while Aswami garnered 12,719 votes.

During the previous general election in 2018, Mr Sabri only managed to secure a 2,311 majority. NEW STRAITS TIMES
