ruined men for us

Shirtless Lee Byung-hun, Chris Pratt, Matt Bomer and gang don’t mean to, but they sure make it difficult for the rest of mankind to impress Words: Zhang Lihong
The Magnificent Seven, in IMAX Sept 22.
Warning: This is a story about hot men. These men are talented actors who have dedicated years to honing their craft, and might very well be intelligent, supremely big-hearted, outstanding model citizens. These are also men who look good without their shirts on. If this offends your sensibilities, or if you clicked on this expecting a round-up of the markets today, you’ll want to hit that “back” button and forever hold your peace.

Otherwise: Pectorals and biceps and abs — oh, my.

The Magnificent Seven might be a shoot-’em-up action-adventure with enviable pedigree — being a reimagining of the classic starring Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen, which in turn was a take on Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai — but, ladies, it may also be one of the most stunning collection of men ever assembled for a single film.

And that includes Magic Mike because even though there was plenty on display in that film, let’s face it, it was all about Tatum. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that whatsoever.)

Here is a round-up of the hottest moments of the Magnificent Seven men: Chris Pratt, Lee Byung-hun, Denzel Washington, Matt Bomer, Ethan Hawke, Cam Gigandet and Luke Grimes. All missing a button or two. Or six.

You’ve got to love the Internet.

1. Chris Pratt

Source: Instagram As a general rule of thumb, men who take selfies at the gym are complete D-bags. But not you, Pratt. What do thumbs know, anyway? 2. Matt Bomer
Source: Giphy.com Hello. Nice hair, Bomer.
Source: CBS There’s something about the way he opens doors. Here he is on The Late, Late Show with James Corden. 3. Lee Byung-Hun

Source: Giphy.com Definitely shouldn’t complain about security checks. Can’t be too safe! 4. Denzel Washington
Source: Pinterest The Internet is like a magic time machine. Here we are back in 1991 with the movie Ricochet.
Source: Pinterest And then even further back in 1989 with The Mighty Quinn. This counts as an appreciation for history, right? 5. Ethan Hawke
Source: Pinterest Ethan Hawke is an actor, director, screenwriter and author. He has been nominated for four Oscars and a Tony. He also does not have a shirt on in these pictures for GQ South Africa. 6. Luke Grimes
Source: Giphy.com Fans of True Blood will recognize Luke as James Kent, the one vampire who actually refused sex. That moral judgement didn’t last long as Christian Grey’s brother in Fifty Shades Of Grey. 7. Cam Gigandet

Source: Tumblr And here he is as the only good thing in Burlesque. The man had to act as if he liked Christina Aguilera. The man deserved an Oscar. The Magnificent Seven opens in cinemas Sept 22. More Stories 7 Cowboy Phrases Explained In Singlish 7 times Chris Pratt proved he was the perfect man
